Arino™ insecticide/nematicide represents a novel and unique advancement in potato crop protection, utilizing RinoTec™ technology to combat a range of costly soil-dwelling pests. This product, which secured EPA registration in March 2025 with a tolerance exemption, has been successfully and extensively tested over the past five years by universities and third-party CROs, demonstrating strong activity against Columbia Root-Knot, Northern Root-Knot, Lesion nematode, wireworm, and white grubs. Arino is conveniently applied in-furrow at planting and is tank-mix compatible with commonly used crop protection products and fertilizers, offering growers a flexible and effective tool. Its ease of use is highlighted by the absence of buffer zones for soil applications and a short 4-hour re-entry interval (REI). The product was also the recipient of the 2024 EPA Green Chemistry Award, underscoring its favorable environmental profile and low impact on beneficial insects. Made in the USA, Arino has established MRLs and will be available to U.S. growers for the first time in 2026, providing a new, high-performance solution for early-season potato pest management.
