D.C. Fly-In, Annual Meeting moved to virtual events

The Potato Leadership, Education, and Advancement Foundation (Potato LEAF) Board of Directors announced today it has decided not to conduct a Potato Industry Leadership Institute class for 2021 given the health and logistical challenges surrounding COVID-19.

The 2021 class was originally scheduled to meet February 17-25, 2021 in Bakersfield, California and Washington, D.C. A virtual program for all Institute graduates is currently in the planning stages for 2021. Participants who applied for the Institute class of 2021 are encouraged to re-apply for 2022.

Additionally, the National Potato Council Executive Committee announced that due to D.C. government, congressional, and federal agency restrictions regarding COVID-19, NPC is moving the 2021 Potato D.C. Fly-In to a virtual event. The meeting will occur the week of Feb. 22-26 as originally scheduled and will also include the NPC Annual Meeting, which will also be held virtually.

Registration and schedule details for both the Annual Meeting and the Fly-In will be announced in early January.
